| "Once again, thank you very much for your support to "Once again, thank you very much for your support to Ghana and Tepa," said Dr. Isaac Boateng of Tepa District Hospital. A PROJECT C.U.R.E. container of medical supplies and equipment recently arrived at the hospital earlier this week and was met with great appreciation from the community there. The container, sponsored by Newmont Mining Company, will support the continuation of the Hospital's treatment and care of people in the area. Newmont sponsored the container as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting communities in which it works. |

The arrival of the container meant greater mobility for one young boy. Living with paralysis in his lower limbs, he has not been able to move on his own. The wheelchair, provided by PROJECT C.U.R.E. with Newmont's assistance, will change that.  |

Since 1999, PROJECT C.U.R.E. has delivered nearly $9 million in donated medical goods to hospitals and clinics throughout Ghana. On July 23, 2009, PROJECT C.U.R.E. hosted its third-annual First Ladies' Luncheon at the Colorado Convention Center Hyatt Regency in Denver. The honored guest and keynote speaker was Her Excellency, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, the First Lady of Ghana. At the luncheon, sponsored by MillerCoors, PROJECT C.U.R.E. exceeded its goal and raised enough money to deliver more than $2.5 million in life-saving medical supplies and equipment to medical professionals, and patients under their care, in Ghana. This book commemorates that historic event. Proceeds from book sales will help PROJECT C.U.R.E. continue delivering life-saving medical supplies and equipment to people in need all over the world. |
