PROJECT C.U.R.E. Announces the Delivery of $31 Million Worth of Donated Medical Resources (June 1 - December 14, 2011)

DENVER, COLO, Dec. 14, 2011 - Project C.U.R.E., the Colorado based nonprofit organization that delivers donated medical supplies and equipment to underserved hospitals and clinics in developing countries, today announced it has provided approximately $31,980,807 worth of medical supplies and equipment to medical facilities in 29 countries since the start of the Fiscal Year 2011, June 1, 2011.

Recipient countries include Pakistan, India, Cambodia, Kosovo, Ukraine, Mexico, Haiti, Panama, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, and Libya among others. “We’re sending basic supplies like band-aids, dressings, skin cleaners, and baby diapers, all the way up to specialty items like IV supplies, catheters, and surgical specialties,” said PROJECT C.U.R.E. volunteer, Joy Carlson. Containers were delivered from the organization's four distribution centers in Centennial, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona, Houston, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee.

Currently, Project C.U.R.E. is the world’s largest organization of its kind, delivering on average two 40-ft. cargo containers of medical relief every week. Since its inception in 1987, the organization has delivered nearly $450 million worth of medical relief to people in need in more than 120 countries worldwide.

Project C.U.R.E. is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado., outside of Denver. Distribution centers are located in Centennial, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Nashville, Tennessee; Houston, Texas; and coming soon Chicago, IL.
